Join us for a day of service with Wai‘anae Mountains Watershed Partnership on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. as we work alongside Wai‘anae High School staff, students and their ‘ohana to create a green break at Wai‘anae Kai Forest Reserve. Learn about the importance of watersheds, and how watersheds help protect against wildfires – all while enjoying the beautiful views of the Wai‘anae Coast. Volunteers will clear invasive species and assist with native out-plantings.
Volunteer parking is at Waiʻanae High School (85-251 Farrington Hwy. Waiʻanae 96792), and you will be shuttled to the worksite. Shuttles leave at 8am.
Lunch will be provided!
What to wear: T-Shirt or Long Sleeve (color: brown or tan to distinguish between organizations that day), comfortable long pants, covered shoes. Hat and sunscreen highly encouraged.
What to bring: water bottle (refill stations available at site)
