HAEP has been a meaningful figure in the environmental community in Hawaii since 1990. Our membership consists of environmental professionals from the private,  government, and academic sectors in Hawaii, all striving to share and improve  their knowledge in the environmental field. Hence our motto, “Shed Light Not  Heat.” As an affiliate chapter of the National Association of Environmental Professionals, HAEP supports the policies of NAEP and is  dedicated to the promotion of ethical practices, technical competency, and  professional standards in the environmental field.​HAEP has over 75 members from the consulting, industrial, government, and university sectors. Our diverse network of members and associates  provides for meaningful networking opportunities and resource-sharing in the islands.
